My 21st Birthday

So on Tuesday I turned the big 21 and had an amazing day with my boyfriend in Birmingham followed by a night out on Wednesday to our Student Union club which is fortunately just across the road.

On our way yay!

We started our day in Birmingham with some lunch as it was after one when we got there. We had sandwiches soon followed by pastries because well it was my birthday haha! Unfortunately I had eaten all the food before I even had time to take a photo, was I really going to wait to eat a bannoffe éclair (the answer is always no!)

We then looked round the shops in the bullring for some four and a half hours, where I purchases a new lipstick and some more eyeliner from boots (which will feature in a future blog post) and a new black dress from New Look to ware this weekend for a meal with my family.

My boyfriend told me that while we were in Birmingham to pick a present for him to get me and after these hours I finally had inspiration and I was a very lucky girl and he bought me my beautiful 21 Pandora charm.

After being shopped out we went for dinner at Ask Italian where I had calamari to start and a seafood pasta for main washed down with a glass of Prosecco. Unfortunately neither of us made it to desert and left Birmingham to return back home.

 Soooo tasty!

After a quick stop off to Tesco to get some Champaign, when we got back to the house I was greeted by my two housemates to this lovely chocolate cake that tasted every bit as yummy as it looked.

It was honestly my best birthday to date and it goes to show that you don’t always need flashy parties or getting drunk to have a good day.

As I am still a student I did go out on the Wednesday night which was 80s night so the music was pretty decent. I will attach some pictures for your amusement.

I thought it was perfect that my coat check number was 21 :)

Sorry for the complete lack of posts in the past week, I have been super busy and not feeling too inspired. Every post I tried to write just felt forced and not me.

So what is your favourite birthday memories? What have you done or want to do for your 21st Birthday?
