Finally got a haircut

So after a long six month period, I have finally gone and got my haircut.

I just love how my hair looks and feels after I have it cut, and the only reason I usually leave it this long is for the simple reason of I never have enough money.

The whole process of having my haircut is enjoyable to me, I love the feel of someone washing my hair and then the richness of the smell of the product they use. I even enjoy the mindless chatter that goes along with it.

I have been going to the same salon since I was very little, perhaps about aged six, and they have seen me through good haircuts to straight fringes and everything in between.

Just to give you an idea of my haircare/styling process, as you can tell my natural hair colour is not red, unfortunately. I dye my own hair at home every two months on average, typically I use any range of Schwarzkopf Live XXL although, I did previously use Garnier Olia range which is also very good. That coupled with the amount of heat I use on a near daily basis means a lot of my hair becomes dead. (I will no doubt go more into this in another post)

Luckily (or unluckily, when it comes to drying and styling) I have extremely thick hair which means no matter how much I abuse my hair it always tends to go along with it and never give me too much greif in the way of split-ends.

But after a lengthy six month's of hair abuse I actually got my life together and went to have it cut.

I just love the way how after I have a haircut my hair looks 100x healthier and I always take a pledge to properly use heat protectant products, which I rarely stick to unfortunately.

So, this is me being nosy and curious,
How often do you get your haircut?
What is your favorite part of getting a haircut?
Do you go to the same place, or have tried out many salons over the years?
