10 ideas for spending valentines day alone

Hello guys, its been a week since I last blogged. Simply unacceptable!
Its frustrating because I have blog posts written but due to the lack of daylight hours, I CANT TAKE ANY DECENT PICTURES! I can tell this is something I am going to have a huge problem with throughout my blogging life due to the fact I live in England!
Oh well.

So today I though I would make a cheeky post about Valentines Day, love it or hate it it is three days away! Where on earth has that time gone? And instead of doing it exclusively for single people or people in a relationship, I have decided to do it for anyone who is spending the day alone whether it be your significant other is away or if you are single and most likely having an amazing time being so. However when you are on your own it can be lonely and everyone one of Facebook is receiving amazing gift and going out to yummy meals. So get off Facebook and have an amazing day on your own maybe taking into consideration some of the ideas below.

1) Watch cheesy films

This ones a given. Pick your all time favorite cheesy girly funny films and watch them, don't feel guilty about how sickly sweet and predictable the storyline is, it is your day to enjoy it! After all their is noting wrong with rom com and basic romantic storylines!
Heres a couple of my suggestions taken from Netflix - The Proposal, When in Rome, The Rebound

2) Bake something yummy

Bake yourself the most outrageous cakes known to man, covered in sugar and frosting and all things yummy. Maybe throw in some cookies for good measure.

3) (Window) Shop

Another classic suggestion, whether it be online or in a shopping center have a good look at all the clothes, candles, makeup, ect out there! And if (unlike me) you have some pennies floating around, go on and buy something good for yourself.

4) Catch up on sleep

Valentines day is on a Saturday this year, so unless you have the misfortune of working in retail or catering (I feel for ya!) why not catch up on all the sleep you have missed during the week.

5) Read a book

Why not read one of those books you have bought that is currently sitting somewhere in your house that you promised yourself you should buy because you would read it and enjoy it without a doubt!

6) Order a takeaway/ cook yourself a instagram worthy meal

Again, subject to funds! Why not order that pizza you have been craving all week? Or if you have not many pennies this month why don't you find a recipe online and cook yourself a meal that looks and tastes absolutely fantastic. And remember you get all this food and have to share it with no one!

7) Try a new make up and hairstyle look

Youtube makeup and hair tutorials and go crazy. Try looks you would never usually try and who knows, it might be your favorite new look.

8) Do something creative

Draw a picture, write some music, follow a DIY on pinterest (and show me how it goes) maybe even write a blog post just to keep your mind in a good place.

9) Have a bubble bath with your best bath stuff

We all have bath stuff that we save for special occasions right? No, just me then but light up all your candles poor in lots of bubbles and play your favorite album / playlist, ahh how relaxing does that sound!

10) Remember that Valentines day is just a day and Pancake day is three days away

Yup, its only one day of the year and in three days time it will be pancake day aka national eat as much as possible day. So chin up and power through!

Thank you so much for reading all of this, sorry its not an amazing blog post but I have tried my best haha! What have you got planned for Valentines Day? Or is pancake day more your thing?
