April Beauty Favorites

So its that time of the month again, April Favorites!

As Spring has FINALLY sprung in England my theme for make-up has been alot brighter and fresher so my most reached for products represent that change.

For me my absolute favorite thing in the whole world is eye make-up, I am addicted. So for me the first part of my everyday makeup routine that witnesses this change without a doubt is my eyes. In the colder months I tend to opt for a darker smokey eye, but the second I see sun I crave something lighter and brighter. The products I have been using to make this change have been the Seventeen Eye Eye Crayon in the colour 'Iced', Seventeen Eyeshadow Mono and Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow in the shade 'Pink Nude'. I have been using the eye shadow as a base, the pencil in the corners of my eyes and brow bones and the cream eyeshadow smudged on the outer edges of my eyes.

For my lips I have been loving (something that is not on the whole a spring make up item) the Collection Work the Colour Lip Butter in the shade 'Perfect Plum'. This lip butter is so perfect for me. It goes on beautifully and the nib makes it easy to trace your lips beautifully. Also it does not leave residue on anything you put too your lips so dramatically so for £3 its a winner for me.

I have never really been a person to ware blusher, ever. I have sensitive skin on my cheeks and actively avoid putting anything redder on them in case it sticks. But, whist I was looking round down as my boyfriend was in his guitar lesson I went to superdrug (something which I rarely do due to one not being near where I live) and the MUA blushers caught my eye as they were £1. I bought the MUA blusher in the colour 'Lolly' which is a coral-ly colour as I avoided anything too pink toned. I am so pleased with this purchase as for me it blends perfectly and also adds a more spring-toned look to my face.

And finally skincare. For me this month has been all about me finally sorting out my skincare routine. To do this two products have really stood out for me, these have been the Garnier Pure Micellar Cleansing Water and the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser from The Body Shop. I use the micellar water to take off my eye make up, which it does so beautifully with no overpowering scent or stinging feeling around my eyes, and the cleanser to then thoroughly wash my face. These products have helped my skin get to such a beautiful standard. I have had one breakout since caring for my skin everyday (something which I am not used to) but I feel as though it had more to do with stress and hormones. It did clear up in about two to three days which I was very happy with.

Yay! Finally did it, a monthly favorites on time!
Hope you are all well, thank you SOOOO much for supporting and following me, it honestly means the world.

Fashion Inspiration: Spring Pastels

For me Spring is all about pastels and lighter material. After what feels like the longest time covering every inch of skin up in fear that it would be exposed to the icy conditions of winter, spring marks the first time it becomes comfortable to ware clothing which offers an opportunity to show some skin. I live for the spring/summer pastel fashion and love the colours and the many ways outfits can be put together and built up.
Furthermore, for me the clothes you buy in spring more often than not are easily carried though to summer. The clothes I have featured below can be put together and can act as staples throughout spring (in my opinion). I hope you enjoy!

Clothes:

I love the lace and the muted coral colour on this piece. The shape also looks really flattering and could be worn with jeans and would still look really pretty. As it does have lace it adds some texture and gives it a 3D feel so if you wore this entirely with pastels you wouldn't look too washed out. At £10 its a real bargin. They also have this top in a mint green colour which I also love.
Top: ASOS V Hem Shell Top (£25)

I just love the shapes to this top around the top and bottom meaning although its white its far from boring. I would happily ware this with either jeans or a skirt (the ones below would work nicely).

Okay, so lets be real, it's spring in England and the weather is probably not going to be the warmest. Although this jumper is not strictly pastel it is perfect for those colder spring days. The stripes are very flattering and can easily be paired with jeans.

I am in love with this skirt (although it is more than I would ever pay on a skirt if I'm being honest). I have always wanted to try this type of skirt, but as I am short have always been worried that it may make me look shorter but I really want to give it a try. This skirt would be the perfect transaction from winter to spring as it does have a little length but the main skirt is (of course) shorter. The colour is such a beautiful nude and I feel would suit most skin tones.

For me Zara jeans are the best for their value. I bought a pair in August and they are still going strong, even after being worn most days and washed in our killer washing machine. Their sizes (I feel) are generous and have a very nice fit to them. Furthermore they are made from denim not denim and elastic hybrid which I just don't like. As its spring a lighter colour pair of jeans for me is a must and these look so pretty and would go perfectly with simple tops which could be easily tucked in.

Accessories:
Shoes: Topshop Gallop Court Shoes (£59)

Okay, so these are on the pricey side and I am sure there are cheaper alternatives out there but I just love this light blue for spring. For me light blue accessories are a must, adding a really subtle pop of colour that doesn't wash a toned down outfit out. Furthermore, I just love the effortless classic court shoe shape which looks sophisticated adding a little bit of chic to a casual outfit.

Bag: Topshop Mini Satchel (£25)

I own a bag extremely similar to this one that I bought from Topshop last spring/summer, it is the exact colour and the only difference I can see is the cross body strap. I love my bag, it is the perfect size for a purse, keys and a few other bits meaning there is no temptation to over-pack it. This bag is so versatile and goes with jeans, shorts, skirts and summer dresses (again in the light blue colour). This bag will see anyone through the spring months.

Necklace: ASOS Multirow Globe Necklace (£10)
I just love this multiple necklace look as it is very simple but at the same time is a little bit more (do you see what I'm getting at?). Silver is my favorite colour for jewlrey as I own a silver watch, earrings (ect) so it is a personal preference but I feel as though this almost dirty silver is perfect for spring.

Sunglasses: River Island Iggy Mirror Sunglasses (£13)

As a self-confessed sunglass addict spring offers a perfect oppertuntity to put on some sun glasses and not feel guilty about it. I love these River Island sunglasses as they are such a fin shape and are subtle so perfect for those not-too-sunny-but-sunny-enough days.

Makeup

Nail Polish: Essie Allure (£7.99)
And finally nail polish to tie all outfits together. For me it had to be a nude colour and Essie allure is just perfect for spring.

So I decided to blog something I never thought I would blog: fashion.
I am by no means an expert but I have really enjoyed finding the pieces and writing this post. I would love to buy an outfit and do it that way but alas I do not have enough money for that. I hope you enjoy this and maybe it is something I will do more of!

What is your favourite spring look?
