My opinion on Revlon's Ultra HD Matte Lip Colours

Unless you live under a rock (like me 90% of the time) liquid lipsticks, especially of the matte variety, have become big money makers for the beauty industry. And why wouldn’t they? They promise easy application, long lasting finish, in a variety of colours, from nudes to purples. However, many of said matte lipsticks are unbelievably expensive, which is just a no-no if you are a poor student like me, or impossible to get hold of (I’m looking at you NYX, not being stocked in Cambridge, the shame!).

I have never been one to truly experiment with lip colours. I used to think a pink tinted lipsil was ‘out there’. Give me a nude for the day (if you’re lucky) and a red for evenings out, and I am sorted. Although I did venture into the dizzying heights of plum this autumn (check me out haha). So to say liquid lipsticks appealed to me would be an understatement. Due to the aforementioned problems with buying liquid lipsticks, I was drawn to Revlon’s serving of this mass beauty craze, and with boots running a 3 for 2 offer, I just couldn’t resist going in blind and buying three different shades. Since I purchased mine about a month ago, countless beauty bloggers and youtubers have offered their opinion, but I figured I may as well put my five cents worth in.

Review: Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

So, everybody and their cat has written a review about this mascara, but the responses have been so mixed that I have decided to put my own two cents worth in.

As I'm sure you are already aware, benefit released sample size of the mascara exclusively in Elle magazine, with the official product being released at the end of this month. The magazine cost £4 so wasn't really too much expense and can I say that the magazine in itself is a really good edition.

To judge the benefit roller lash I decided to write mini review's on the four categories I judge every mascara on, the brush, length, volume and curl. So here we go:

The Brush
I absolutely love the brush that comes with this product. It is smaller than the brush I usually use but that is only an advantage to me. It leaves less of a risk that the brush will touch your eye lid leaving those annoying black lines. Also the brush is curved which I guess the lashes the promised curl.
Overall I give the brush 4.5/5

Length
This is the area I read the most negative comments about. Well, I guess I am lucky to have pretty long lashes but I didn't feel this mascara gave my lashes a great amount of length that would be something worth writing home about. It did give some length and did make my eyelashes look pretty lengthened.
Overall I give the length 3/5

Volume
This gave such a pretty amount volume, not so much the mascara clumped up, but enough to make it really pretty. The mascara defined my lashes and stayed put all day not loosing any volume whatsoever!
Overall, I give the volume 5/5

And finally, curl
So this is the main selling point. You can throw away your eye lash curlers as you no longer need them. Ahhh if only huh. I must say that it did give way more curl than any other mascara I have used alone, however I would still use my eyelash curler just to give my lashes the optimum curl. Alone though my eyes are opened up and I look so much more awake!
Overall, the curl gets a 4/5 for the simple reason that I would still use my eyelash curler.

So that leaves Benefit Roller Lash Mascara to get a 4/5
And will I purchase this mascara? Hell yes, when I have finished all my mascaras I already own because I really enjoy this product and the way it sits on my lashes and does not budge all day.

So, what is your opinion on Benefits Roller Lash Mascara? Have you purchased the full size?
